I am the president of the NGO and
manage the overall operations of
the NGO and look out for the team.
I am good at managing things and
thus I took up the post of the
president.

NGO are the organization which look after the
society’s needs which are lacking in the system. Here
we teach about technology to elder & shopkeeper,
obviously free of cost. “THE MODERN OLD” is making
effort to make a big growth in literacy of technology
throughout country. We teach the elder &
shopkeeper, the mandatory education which they are
entitled and spread awareness by campaigning about
importance of technology and its necessity.

conversations thus I took up the post of

Illiteracy of technology is something which is found
when there is lack of modernization in the
society .The NGO is putting great efforts for
eradicating literacy of technology in India. We had
been working for the economy by increasing the rate
of tech literacy in India .We are doing this by helping
the youth , with the no cost education. We are trying
to expand aur operation day by day for eradicating
tech literacy from the entire country.

at the assessing a certain section of people
and I know the local place well and thus I

This is something I am very proud of. I decided
to open a nonprofit organization from the day I
stepped into the college and luckily here I
found a bunch of enthusiastic people who are
Keen to do the same and it's where the 'Hands
Of Hope' came into existence. I have seen
desires being converted into reality here and
it's a great privileged to be a part of this NGO.
About
You would have predicted a little about the main functions of this Ngo.
The Modern Old is formed to locate and educate elderly people who have
very little knowledge about technology and how technology could be used
in daily life for various things and make living easier at the cost of money to
almost nothing to give but plenty of time and energy to save. The Modern
Old was started recently. The Modern Old doesn’t have any dedicated office
or workplace, it is operated online by the co-workers. We aim to help as
many people as many people as we can ultimately helping society to grow
as a whole unit in itself.
Mission, Vision
Mission :To help elderly people enjoy their life a bit more by introducing
technology to them.
Vision : We aim to improve the reach of technology and foster its benefits to
that section of society that has less exposure to it – elders. Also , we aim at
making the daily transactions at shops easier and a lot more secure and
foolproof by teaching the shop owners about net banking and UPI systems and
ultimately eliminate the need of cash. As a long-term goal, we aim at providing
everyone the benefits of technology and thus eliminate the tech deserted areas.

Steps to reduce the problem.
Steps to reduce the social cause:
We as a NGO mainly aim to reduce the number of people and factors that are
preventing technology from expanding in all the possible fields. As encountered and deduced
from the survey we conducted we came to know that the major two reasons that are creating the
hindrance are old people and the people that are residing at remote places that are far away from
main cities and civilizations. Thus, we have thought of a few steps to cover these uncovered
sections of the society.
For elderly people:
We will show them what technology really is and what it basically helps in.
Providing ease to various types of people with disabilities. Providing braille texts and audio of
the newspaper and books to the ones who have weak vision or are blind,
providing visual aid of the entertainment sources and other things for the ones who are deaf, devices
to make an audio form of what an individual is thinking which proves useful for the ones who
cannot speak, electrical wheelchairs that move on the command of the disables who cannot walk, etc
are all the forms of technology in various uses that helps us and the disabled sections of the society.
From this we expect a small change which is: Elderly people tend to meet thier friends every
evening and have chats and snacks with them, so we expect that the use of technology they would
have learnt from us they would tell it to their friends and thus the number of the people that are
away from the reach of technology would be reduced.
For remote place residents:
These people usually have very less exposure to the modern society and tend to have less
knowledge of the advancements the modern society is making. Thus we aim to let them have an
insight of how technology can bridge their gap of communication and provide them with the latest
information and also them enjoy their entertainment time also gaining the latest informations of the
advancements. Using these examples we will try to make them understand the boon of technology
and try to introduce them to its world and ways they can introduce it to their daily life.
Campaigning and branding.
For campaigning we have planned to conduct a couple of them after the semester exams. For
that, we have planned to visit our local shops and check if they facilitate online transactions , if
they won't, we'll help them establish it. Later we aim to target the elderly people who gather to
have talks in the evening and provide them some knowledge on technology and the devices
they can use.
After a few successful campaigns we plan to create a merchandise for our team and volunteers
holding the logo and tagline of our NGO. The merchandise will contain t-shirts, books, stickers,
etc. After a few more successful campaigns we aim to hold seminars affiliated with some big
brand name and provide a lecture on this social issue which often does not get recognised.

Long run aim.
Ultimately , we aim to create a network of helpers. Not only us, but also
the other people who have learnt from us or are willing to help others enjoy their
lives. This network's range will be infinite topics, not only helping at providing
knowledge but also creating something new. Thus an NGO that started with 4 willing
students will turn into a large network that’ll help each other in daily life challenges.
We will then witness an era of elderly people using phones and smartphones and the
new tech in a way the world has never witnessed before.
