INTRODUCTION
• A practical temperature controller is the one that controls temperature of any
device according to its requirement for any industrial application. It can monitor
the temperature and displays it on an LCD display in the range of –50°C to
+150°C. The heart of the circuit is an Arduino board which controls all its
functions. By modifying the circuit slightly, it can also be used to control the room
temperature, depending on the property of thermistor. It decreases its resistance
with increasing temperature, hence the electrical conductivity also increases,
increasing voltage across it, resulting in an increment in the speed of the fan.
Thus, it is possible to control the speed of the fan automatically when the device’s
temperature varies. Experiment can be followed to evaluate whether this circuit
can save energy through the use of temperature sensor and thus promote
efficiency.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• The occurrence of excessive heat temperature in the power electronics systems
and other electronics devices. Most of the power electronics system use big
heatsink to dissipate excessive heat. Some of these uses active cooling method, by
using a fan on heatsink it which help to remain the temperatures more stable. But
when running these things on a low power fan is still on and feel noisy. So I have
decided to make a programmable fan which can be turned on when required.
More applications of this type of fan can be found in UPS, Inverters, Amplifiers
and Bench power supplies.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE

• The main objective of this project is to implement a circuit with a

programmed fan for cooling process in the electronic systems and
other devices.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

i. To implement power supply.

ii. To implement sensing unit.
iii.To implement control unit.
iv. To implement indicating unit and output unit.
v. To implement and test the prototype.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PROJECT
i. Very easy to test and troubleshoot
ii. It is very reliable and simple to control
iii. It saves time
LITERATURE REVIEW

• This chapter will discuss the existing systems, its operation and drawbacks, also
the proposed system in its operation and advantages over the existing system. It
also give gap of the development between the existing system and the proposed
one. Moreover , this chapter provides basic knowledge which will help in
accomplishing the objective of the project.
EXISTING SYSTEM

Temperature sensing system

A temperature sensor is a device that provides a readable temperature
measurement through an electrical signal. The most basic way to
measure temperature is with a thermometer; this measures how hot or
cold something is. With advances in technology, we can now use a
variety of more accurate temperature sensors. The temperature sensor
works by providing a reading through an electrical signal. The sensor
consists of two metals, which generate voltage or resistance by
measuring the voltage across the diode terminals when the temperature
changes. When the voltage increases, the temperature also increases.
