SHIFTING CULTIVATION

SUBSISTENCE FARMING

• Subsistence crop farmers grow and harvest field


or tree and shrub crops, vegetable, fruit trees
and growing animals at the same time in order
to provide food, shelter and a minimum of cash
income for themselves and their household
PASTORAL FARMING

•Pastoral farming (also known in some


regions as ranching, livestock farming or
grazing) is aimed at producing livestock,
rather than growing crops
INTENSIVE FARMING

• Intensive agriculture, also known as intensive farming


conventional, or industrial agriculture, is a type of
agriculture, both of crop plants and of animals with
higher levels of input and output per unit of agricultural

CLASSIFICATION OF AGRICULTURE
