ABSTRACT
An endangered species is an animal or plant that's considered at risk of extinction. They are very
likely to become extinct in near future. Extinct in the sense “No Longer Existence”.
According to the reports of WWF (World Wildlife Fund) the alarming rate of extinction is 100-
1,000
times, and perhaps even 11,000 times, greater than the expected natural rate.
In the time we get to know about this, one of our planet’s unique species will become extinct. By
this time tomorrow, a further 150–200 will have disappeared forever. And by this time next year,
over 50,000 more.
We work to help local communities conserve the natural resources they depend upon; transform
markets and policies toward sustainability; and protect and restore species and their habitats.
INTRODUCTION
In our world today we have approximately 26,021 endangered species. Endangered species
are organisms that may possible become extinct. The endangered species issue is a very
serious issue and has the potential to disturb the balance of an ecosystem by reducing or
completely wiping out an entire species of animal.
Plants and animals maintain the health of an ecosystem. When a species becomes
endangered, it’s a sign that an ecosystem is out of balance . Consequences can be critical.
Ecosystems are groups of plants and animals that are found in the same area and interact
with each other. These interactions make up and maintain the environments we know today
like rainforests, mountains and savannahs.
A well-balanced ecosystem maintains the health of the environment. This ensures that
humans have access to clean air and water, and fertile land for agriculture.
So, when ecosystems aren’t maintained, our health can be affected too. That’s why, when
you contribute to the conservation efforts of endangered species, you’re also contributing
towards humans’ well-being.
OBJECTIVES
Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and our fellow living beings.
We seek to be the voice for those creatures who have no voice. We speak for their future. We
seek to apply the wealth of our talents, knowledge, and passion to making the world wealthier
in life, in spirit, and in living wonder of nature.
Our website aims to educate, persuade and motivate us all towards saving our planet.
