NARRATIVE REPORT

DEPARTMENT
Department of Education promotes and supports the integration of
gender related topic in teaching and learning. To support the Department’s
vision of ensuring Gender sensitive institution, the fourth School Learning
Action Cell of Mayuro National and Senior High School focused on the
topic Gender Sensitivity discussed by invited resource speaker from Dr.
Juan M. Pastor Integrated National High School, Mrs. Mischelle P. Ebora
and organized by Araling Panlipunan Department.

training session Mrs. Krystel D. Almarez talk about the learning objectives.
The introduction of the resource speaker was presented by Mrs. Arlene
Carandang.
Finally, the session proper started
by Mrs. Mischelle Ebora by greeting the
participants and sharing how
overwhelmed she is to be speaking
about Gender Sensitivity. She shared a
quotation, “Our purpose on earth is not
to get lost in the dark in our journey
through life, But to be a beacon of light
so that others may find their way.”
Afterwards, she
presented the basic concepts
of gender and sex, she also
deepen the understanding of
the participants about the
importance of gender
sensitivity in education
planning. She also gave
questions that the
participants needs to ponder
through out the session. Mrs.
Ebora shared the ways on
how to adapt gender
mainstreaming in teaching
and learning and the
teacher's role to address
gender issues. She ended her
talk in a beautiful quotation.

The last part of the session is


the assignment of the
activity. Mrs. Ebora give the
instruction and the deadline
for the said activity. After
that Ms. Charlene Bravo
presented the certificate of
appreciation to the resource
speaker.
