INTRODUCTION
Our project deal with the “PLANING ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF WEDDING HALL
BUILDIND” at MATHUR ROAD ,TRICHY the area which we proposed for the wedding hall is
Developing area. We hope that our project will become commerically viable. The main objective
Of the AIRPORT as well as MALL is to provide good environmental area and to entertain the
People . Its has facilities like canteen and adequate parking area. The total area is 600 sq.m.
The plinth area is 1320 sq.m. the theatre consists of two screens with 210 seats each. Its is a
“FRAMED STRUCTURE”.the “LIMITS STATE METHOD OF DESIGN”is used. The code
Practices such as IS4878-1986,IS456-2000,IS875 part 1, part2.the software such as AUTOCAD
Used for planning.
AIM
To design and planning of wedding hall building
OBJECTIVES
1)To design a wedding hall (G+1) at mathur road
trichy .
2) To plan for a wedding hall and design is
completely.
3) To design various structural elements like slabs,
columns, footings and staircase as per guidelines framed
by Bureau of Indian standards.
METHODOLOGY
• Collection of details and information about building that are
already found.
• Code requirements for design of beam,slabs,column, plinth
beam, staircase and foundation has been satisfied.
• Indian standards recommendation are followed for designing
the structural elements.
• Designing the plan of the wedding hall with data collected and
adequate drawings are drawn using Auto Cad.
• Preparation of final results of the project.
STUDY AREA
Place - Mathur road, Trichy
Size of plot - 30m x 20m
Grade of concrete - 25N/mm2
Grade of steel - 415N/mm2
PLAN EXPLANATION
• The plan over all area sq is 30000x20000 in mathur trichy

airport side mahal name “vvv”
• The wall thickness is 300 mm and first floor only for kitchen
&dining room ,store room and also rest room
• Front side are back side fully windows & doors covered the
main window size 600 mm and rest room window size 400mm
• Second floor also same dimension plan be changes in reseption
room ,mens room, womens room and also stage
• The front elivation look fully coloured correct measurement
• Section for sand filling for 600mm, p.c.c concrete for
1:2:4 ,floor finish has been 100mm and weathering coat=100mm
DESIGN OF SLAB

=30/20=1.5<2
it has desinged as two way slab
effective depth:
=333.33mm
over all depth
=300+20=320
load calculation:
self weight of slab=8kN/m
effective span:
=20.3
shorter span:
=498.21kN/M
effective depth:
=424.86
main reinforcement:
=70.1mm
distribution reinforcement
=314.15mm
RESULT:
final design over all depth =170mm
to provide 25mm dia of bar @100mmc/c
to provide 12 mm dia of bar @300mm c/c

Width of the beam =260mm
Total load =59.53KN
Factor load= 89.29KNm
Effective span=20.3m
Appoximate area of steel
=2670mm
25mm dia of the bar

16mm dia of the bar
=201.06mm

=33.95mm<50mm
Moment of resistance
=487.53x10^6N/mm
hence ok
RESULT:
Size of beam =350mmx520mm
Area of the steel =2670mm

RESULT:
size of footing =2.54mx2.54m
over all depth =570mm
clear over =50mm
effective depth =520mm
provide 25mm dia @ of bar @150c/c each direction
DESIGN OF LINTER CUM SUNSHADE
Size of linter=300x200mm
Height of lintel=2.2
Foot to lintel of bottom height 2.2m
Load calculation
=72.59kn
Imposed load of sunshade
=1727.18kn
Maximum bending moment at mid span
=13516.33n/mm (ast=1431.47mm)
To provide lintel cmsunshade 10mmdia bar @300mmc/c
conclusion
In this project we have done planning analysis and design
of wedding hall building through manual calculation As we get
more knowledge in such a situation where we have great
experience doing the manual work . Plan should be done in
AUTO CADDsoftware with guidelines of NATIONAL
BUILDING CODE (NBC).analysis be done in moment distribution
moment method.
The total design of the structure i.e. slab, beam,column,
footing and staircase are done manually.
the standard of the structure are maintained according
to the coded provisions (IS456:2000)
