Corporate Governance Principles, which cover four
essential areas:

 Sustainability is the ability an organization to


maintain its business growth consistently
avoiding depletion of natural resources
 Sustainable Development is about maintaining
a balance between the human need to improve
lifestyles and well-being on one hand, and
preserving natural resources and ecosystems,
on which we and future generations depend.

food, while contributing to long term social and
economic development, and preserving the environment
for future generations.
 In the life of Nestlé, our fundamental approach to

shareholders, and society as a whole.

This includes zero tolerance of fraud, bribery and corruption, Nestle’s
stringent efforts to ensure data privacy and open disclosure of tax
payments.

and to report any instances of non-compliance
through internal and external grievance
mechanisms.

Nestlé does not tolerate deception, bribery,
breach of confidence and abuse of power

The data protection regulatory landscape
underwent great change in 2016, due to the
adoption of the European General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR), a major
reform designed to strengthen and unify
data protection, and China’s new Cyber security
Law.

Engaging with stakeholders to
make a bigger impact
• Nestle's global stakeholder network includes people they
engage with regularly through their operations and those in
public positions who influence activities.
• They include employees, consumers, suppliers, communities,
governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs),
shareholders, trade associations and academia.
• Nestle also conduct a Nestlé Stakeholder Community survey.
This is an annual survey with global Key Opinion Leaders that
aims to understand evolving views on the company’s issues and
reputation management.
