    CASE STUDY

    Taste Bakery employs 5 full time worker, age between 15 years old and 20 years old. However
    during festival period, production increase and Taste Bakery takes few temporary and contract
    workers to meet the demands. There are no formal training being given to all the employees as all of
    them already have underpinning knowledge and skill in baking industries. They only learn through
    their routine activities. Taste Bakery activities are mixing, making dough, bake and pack the cakes
    and buns. In ensuring meeting high demands, the activities are assists by using machines such as
    rotary molders, dough forming, cruncher, cutting and oven. Working hours is from 8 am until 5 pm
    everyday except Friday. Taste Bakery operated from a two storey shop house in Pelangi Park
    Cheras. Production is located on ground floor while the store is located on first floor. Taste Bakery
    has been operated since 2004 and during the operations it has involved in 2 accidents; fire in the
    kitchen and finger caught in the rotary molders.
