    • Define Culture Diversity


    • Define Ethnic Groups
    • Identify the differences between different cultures
    Culture Diversity

    Cultural diversity is the quality of diverse or different cultures, as opposed to


    monoculture, the global monoculture, or a homogenization of cultures, akin
    to cultural evolution. The phrase cultural diversity can also refer to having
    different cultures respect each other's differences.
    Ethnic Groups:

    • An ethnic group or ethnicity is a grouping of people who identify


    with each other on the basis of shared attributes that distinguish
    them from other groups such as a common set of traditions,
    ancestry, language, history, society, culture, nation, religion or
    social treatment within their residing area.
    Students will be able to:

    • Divide class into group of 3. topics are:


    ‘Turkish culture’, ‘French culture’, ‘American culture’, ‘South African culture’,
    ‘Italian culture’, ‘Indian culture’, ‘Russian culture’, ‘Chinese culture’.
    Instructions

    • Each Group will present their culture by providing a background, some


    of the language.
    • Each group will have at least 20 minutes to prepare a presentation
    PowerPoint.
    • Each Group will present the PowerPoint by using some of the Language
    of the culture
    • Each Group will make a list of at least 5 things, ideas, words that they
    associate with their category.
