Hardware and software requirements
All requirements can be found in the Manual CD:

Before installation
1. Order number and system ID for the licensing process

2. Installation media available (current version)
3. Prepare Windows Server before installing the neo software as described in
the manual:
\Manual CD\neo_6.x_CD_6.x.x-x.x\US\Installation\System Providers\
 Config_Windows_Server_2016_R2_SP_us.pdf
 Config_Windows_Server_2019_SP_us.pdf
4. Windows features must be installed

HDD partitioning (3 Partitions)
1. System (OS and ASC software)
 min. 60GB better 100GB
2. Database size depends on the recording volume and the storage time. To
calculate the database size the following formula can be used (Or use the
calculation Tool (Postgres_Database_Sizing.xlsx) on Document CD):

 150 GB at least
(individual dimensioning depends on volume of recordings; see the
calculation Tool (Postgres_Database_Sizing.xlsx) on Document CD)
 In the training the drives maybe smaller, due to limited call volume
and system usage!

1. Insert the installation medium for the
recording software. (Mount *.Iso-file)
2. Change to the directory of the
recording software.
3. From the context menu of the file
setup.exe, select the menu item Run
as Administrator.
 Check the MD5 hash value if you want
4. Execute the installation routine as
administrator and follow the
instructions of the installation wizard.

Do not change the
Installation path for neo:
C:\Program Files

Select the partition on which
the recording data is
supposed to be stored.
The drives should be named
accordingly, or you must
write down which drive is
designated to be the storage
drive!
This must not be the same

partition on which the
recording software has been
installed otherwise the
installation may be at risk

Next in the installation the
available languages appear. Here
you can select the languages in
which the user interface of the neo
Suite can be displayed.
The default language
US-English is always installed.

The server name is entered here
automatically as default ID. For
all-in-one systems you can apply
this ID.
When setting up a multi-core

system with several application
servers, you must replace the
default ID with another, freely
selectable cluster ID which is
identical for all application
servers.

In “All in one – basic“ scenario
leave Loopback-Address:

In Multi-core environments change
the IP to your NIC of the Windows
Server. 127.0.0.1

Enter the IP address of the NTP
server.

Selecting the application server
includes all relevant services for the
web applications, also all the
functions of an app server.
Deactivate the check box if the
server is not supposed to be used as
the app server.
Database
Deactivate the check box Database if
you want to use an external
database instead of the included
PostgreSQL database.

Click on the button Browse to
select the drive where the
database is supposed to be
saved.
The directory ASCDB is created
on this drive.

WinPcap is neccessary for sniffing recordings on the LAN-Port
Hint:
Wireshark uses the same Driver, which Version might not be compatible with neo!

Firewall in operating system shoud be
active!
Confirm the prompt with Yes so that the
updater can continue.
Hint:
It is easier to uncheck firewall-settings
than add additional Ports in firewall.
Please only click Yes, if firewall is
already running. Otherwise, please
click No.

IPv6 is supported

If you want to use VoIP recording and no recording cards have been installed, click on the button
Don’t install.
If you want to use TDM recording with recording cards (EVOLUTIONneo system), you must
install the device driver for the recording cards; to do so, click on the button Install.
