INTRODUCTION

As a precaution against the spread of the


coronavirus illness, most educational
systems across the world have switched
to remote learning (COVID-19). This issue
is generating a lot of problems, especially
in poor nations like the Philippines.

To meet the challenge of developing


innovative educational delivery
mechanisms in higher education,
colleges and universities throughout
the world have experimented with
distance education, online teaching,
remote learning, blended learning, and
mobile learning.
CURRENT SCENARIO

(2020), on their study “Faculty Perception
toward Online Education in a State College
in the Philippines during the Coronavirus
Disease 19 (COVID-19) Pandemic”, the
following data were gathered.

Results show that the faculty (teachers,


etc.) are undecided about their preference
in conducting online classes during the
Coronavirus Disease 19 (COVID-19)
Pandemic.

PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

To understand the positive and negative


impacts of online teaching learning to the
Engineering instructors in Calamba, Laguna.

To have a better perspective about the


experiences of Engineering instructors during
online classes.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The part of this study will be


beneficial to the following people:

• Other Instructors.
- This study would help other instructors to understand other co-instructors’
experience during the online learning set-up in the middle of the pandemic.
• Institutions.
- This study would let institutions know what help they can give to their
instructors who are having a hard time in online teaching.
• Commission on Higher Education and other Departments.
- This study would let the department of education to become fully aware about
the implementation of online classes in the Philippines.
• Government.
- This study would be a way to let the government know about the situation of
engineering instructors in the Philippines during online classes.
