• Climate are the generally prevailing weather
conditions of a region, throughout the year,
averaged over a series of years.

PHRASES USED IN FORECASTS
• Fairly cloudy, cool, outbreaks of rain in the evening
outbreak = sudden happening
• The rain will ease but it will remain pretty cloudy
rain will ease = there will be smaller amount of rain
• Hazy sunshine in the south but beautiful afternoon to come
hazy = misty or foggy
• Rain turning quite heavy in the afternoon
turn quite heavy = become quite strong
• Cloudy and wet, often windy
wet = rainy or misty
• The sky is promising to brighten
brighten = clear up
• Few more showers developing through the day
showers = a brief fall of rain
• Patchy rain and drizzle
drizzle = gentle steady rain or sprinkle
