blood.
• Adult average sized woman has 3.5liters
of blood
• Every cell in your body depend on blood to
deliver oxygen and nutrients,and to
remove waste.
Components of blood-Plasma, red blood cells, white
blood cells and platelets
• Plasma
The blood 55%liquid part is called plasma
which is 95% water and 5% dissolve materials like
sugar, proteins, minerals.
• Solid part of the blood is made up of red blood
cells, white blood cells, platelets.

White blood cells-The Warriors

• White blood cells are a part of your immune


systemWhen white blood cells see an invader they
attack

• They may digest microbesor make chemicals to kill the


enemy.
BLOOD TYPE

Karl Landsteirner- discovered two kinds of sunstances


(called antigens and antibodies) in human blood.
Antigens are simply refered to simply A and B.
Thier corresponding Antibodies are referred to as anti-
A and anti-B.

ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE
refers to inadequate oxygen
supply to the heart muscle due
to impared blood flow to the
heart.

This condition is a result of


excessive fat deposits known
as ARTERIOSCLEROSIS and
Excessive buildup of plague
referred to as
ATHEROSCLEROSIS
Angina
a pressing discomfort of
squeezing pain in the chest when
some part of the heart fails to
recieve enough blood.

Angina can sometimes be felt in


the shoulders, arms, neck or jaws

It may be cause by physical


exertion, heavy meals, alcohol
comsumption, cigarette smoking,
emotional stress and even extra
heat oor cold
Stroke
is caused by the interference
in the supply of blood to the
brain.

Patient may experience


slurring of speech, one-sided
body weakness, shallow
nasolabial fold on one side,
headache, and loss of
consciousness
Heart Attack
it occurs when the
supply of blood to a
part of the heart is
completely cut off.
