ABOUT THE PROJECT


The idea is to develop a interstate bus terminal in the city of Cuttack catering to government as well as
private buses.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

AIM
 To develop a modern and green interstate bus terminal in the city of Cuttack.

OBJECTIVES
 To have a standing capacity of 180 buses.
 To have a barrier free design with all modern amenities for the passengers and support staff.
 To design a green and sustainable campus which would be self reliant for its Energy
requirements.
 To create distinction between the public, private and semi private services and arrange
circulation to create the minimum amount of disturbance.
 To have ample of green spaces and landscaping to reduce the carbon footprint.
JUSTIFICATION

The Government already has a proposal for the construction of an ISBT at Khannagar, cuttack on an area of 12 acres
and has plans for the expansion of the Ring Road which would be beneficial for the project.

 To design the master plan of the bus terminal.


 To design the landscape and green spaces for leisure periods.
 To design the amenities and services required for the passengers and support staff.
 To design the terminals and bus bays.
 To recommend the green building features to be used at the terminal.
 To design the parking for the other transport facilities at the terminal, such as cars, autos, rickshaws, etc.
LIMITATIONS

 The services are not to be designed in detail.


 The functioning and scheduling of buses is not to be designed.
 The green building features are not to be designed in detail.
 The drainage and plumbing is not to be designed in detail.
