Her life before being
a princess.
Diana Frances Spencer, better known as Princess Diana or
Lady Di, was a member of the British royal family.
She was born on 1 July 1961 at Sandringham, Norfolk. Her
family is related to the world of British royalty: her
grandmothers were: Countess Spencer, Cynthia Spenser and
Baroness Fermoy, Ruth Roche, and his father, John Spencer
was Count Spencer. When Mr. John passes away, Diana
inherits the position, and this is why she is known as Lady
Diana.

Her life before being
a princess.
She grew up with three siblings: Sarah, Jane, and Charles.
Her little brother, John, died shortly after his birth a year
before Diana was born.
The Spencer’s family rented the house to its owner,
Queen Elizabeth II. The royal family frequently
vacationed at neighboring Sandringham House, and Diana
played with the queen's children, Prince Andrew, and
Prince Edward.

Engagement and
wedding
Diana first met Charles, Prince of Wales, the Queen's eldest son,
when she was 16 in November 1977. He was then 29 and dating
her older sister, Sarah.
Charles and Diana were guests at a country weekend during the
summer of 1980 when she watched him play polo and he took a
serious interest in her as a potential bride. The relationship
progressed when he invited her aboard the royal yacht Britannia
for a sailing weekend to Cowes. This was followed by an
invitation to Balmoral Castle to meet his family one weekend in
November 1980.

Engagement and
wedding
Charles proposed her on 6 February 1981 at Windsor Castle, and
she accepted, but their engagement was kept secret for two and a
half weeks.
20-year-old Diana became Princess of Wales when she married
Charles on 29 July 1981. The wedding was held at St Paul's
Cathedral. The service was widely described as a "fairytale
wedding" and was watched by a global television audience of
750 million people while 600,000 spectators lined the streets to
catch a glimpse of the couple in route to the ceremony.

The children
On June 21, 1982, Diana gave birth to the couple's
first child, Prince William, and second son, Prince
Harry, on September 15, 1984.
It should be noted that Diana instilled in them
values, gave them a good education and above all,
taught them to be humans.

Problems and
separation

After their separation, many things came to light that
surprised to the people:
• The age difference between Carlos and Diana (12
years)
• The prince's new partner, which became known,
that before he met Diana, he had a secret
relationship with Camila Parker, who, at that
time, was a divorced woman.
Richard Fitzwilliams (British public relations
consultant and commentator) said: "When Carlos fell
in love with Camila after they met in 1970, at that time
she would not have been considered suitable as the
wife of the heir to the throne, because she was having
previous lovers".

• Diana and her suicide attempts and problems
with bulimia: she assured in several interviews
that Carlos abused her psychologically
(saicologachy) by saying things such as, for
example: that she was fat and ugly, this caused
bulimia. According to statements by a British
journalist Andrew Neil (1992), Princess Diana
attempted suicide 5 times, discouraged by her
marriage.
• She gave interviews that upset the royal
family: Despite being a cautious person, she
wanted to reveal some secrets of her life as a
princess and her marriage to Prince Charles.

• On August 28, 1996, Diana officially divorced
her husband, thus becoming the only non-royal
princess in the history of the United Kingdom.

Charity

In the late of 1980s, the Princess of Wales became
popular for her support of humanitarian causes. She
helped poor children in Africa and chaired numerous
charitable foundations.
Diana decided to take an active role as the Princess
of Wales rather than spend her hours in the palace.
She was involved with various causes, including the
eradication of antipersonnel mines, AIDS patients,
the elderly and people with addictions, leprosy, and
various health problems.

Death

Diana was in Paris with her boyfriend Doddy Al Fayed.
The reason? The couple was invited by Doddy's father
to spend a few days’ vacation at his mansion in Saint-
Tropez, France. Their passage through Paris was
fleeting because they did not plan to stay long.
On the night of August 31, 1997, leaving the Ritz
Hotel, they were chased by paparazzi: entering the
Alma tunnel, the vehicle with Diana, Doddy, her driver
Henri Paul. and the bodyguard had a traffic accident,
which, only the bodyguard survived.
One of the theories is that the paparazzi were at fault,
because they were behind them with flashes and could
have stunned the driver's vision causing the accident.

Diana’s daughter
According to some British media, Diana would have
undergone several medical tests before marrying the
Prince Charles to ensure that they could have children.
Globe magazine assured that one of the doctors who
participated in the program took one of Diana’s ovules,
fertilized by a sperm from Prince Charles, and
implanted it in his wife: nine months later, in 1981,
Sarah was born.
As you can see, the photograph shows a woman very
similar to Diana. This is the only photo we have of this
woman. Some say it is montage, others that this girl
really existed and died a few years ago.

The British royal house
guilty of Diana's death
One of the strong theories points as guilty to the
British Royal House itself, which ordered the murder
of the Princess of Wales due to rumors of the
supposed wedding that was going to take place
between Lady Di and Dodi Al Fayed. The Royal
House itself would be behind the murder in the
theory that the princess was pregnant with Dodi, and
that would be a reason to get rid of her.

family secrets

disagreement with their family by discovering
secrets. So far Harry and Megan have told the public
that the royal family has a possible racism problem.

victim of the "same powerful forces" that his mother
faced.

Harry discovered
family secrets
"My mother taught me a set of values which I will always try
to defend, despite the role and work and all that this brings ...
I will always protect my family. So, everything that had to
happen and what happened in the end, was terribly wrong ... I
want to prevent the past from repeating itself, and if others
knew what I knew, if this happened to anyone, everyone and
you, you would do exactly what I am doing now ... "

After his death, her work and his values continue to
operate through the Royal Foundation, a
philanthropic entity used as a charitable vehicle by
the Dukes of Cambridge and Prince Harry and the
Diana Awards charity, dedicated to helping the most
disadvantaged young people. Her memory is etched
by the mark she left and his charisma.
She was a kind, charismatic, passionate, sensitive
woman, with a gift of service, and loving with her
children, hence her name: People's princess.
