PLANNING
Planning is the process of thinking about the
activities required to achieve a desired goal. It is
the first and foremost activity to achieve desired
results. It involves the creation and maintenance
of a plan, such as psychological aspects that
require conceptual skills.

The essence of success for any organization is effective planning. In fact planning is
the most important management function. The achievement of any successful mission
depends, how well he plans.

WHAT IS PLANNING: In simple language it is the answer of questions:


▪ What is to be done?
▪ How it should be done?
▪ When is to be done?
▪ By Whom it should be done?

FEATURES OF SUCCESSFUL PLANNING:

▪ Planning needs to be goal oriented


▪ Good Planning requires time bound actions
▪ Planning needs to be flexible,
▪ Planning is the beginning and not an end, the plans must have
modification feature
▪ Planning must result in decision making

▪ Learners - The learners are the very reason a curriculum is developed.


▪ Teachers - He/she writes a curriculum daily through a lesson plan , a
unit plan or a yearly plan.
▪ School Administrators - They are the people who are responsible in
the formulation of the schools’ vision, philosophy, mission and
objectives.
▪ Parents - The parents become part of the environment of learning at
home.

developing, and improving the curriculum which is the
total environment planned by the school.

subject matter, and learning experiences

Benefit of Curriculum Planning

▪ It gives teachers tangible resources and goals,


stimulates creativity, and enables self-reflection. And,
most importantly, documenting curriculum improves
student outcomes. All the advantages described by
respondents culminated in this shared goal. Students
benefit from organized curriculum held to a high
expectation.
