Internal Wall Finishes – sequence of

measurement

Main points to take note:-
• 1. Measurement to
walls and ceiling shall
be separated.
• 2. Works to sides, soffits
or tops of isolated
beams and to sides of
columns shall each be
given separately.
Mouldings
• 1. Architraves,
mouldings, cornices
shall each be given
separately in metres
stating the visible girth
of the contour.
• 2. Cornices with
bracketing shall be so
described.
Descriptions for wall finishes
• 1. 20mm Cement and sand (1:4) mixed
with an approved plasticizer as
described plain face to wall and column.
• 15mm Cement and sand (1:3) as
described backing screed to wall and
column to receive ceramic tiles.
Internal wall finishes
• 200mm x 200mm x 7mm ‘Guocera’ or other
equal and approved colored glazed ceramic
wall tiles in standard color to be selected by
Architect including cement and sand screed
bedded and jointed in cement mortar (1:3)
as described and pointed in tinted cement
to match wall and column to pattern as
approved by Architect.
Internal wall Finishes

• 1. Prepare and apply one coat alkali


resisting primer and two coats emulsion
paint as described on plastered walls
and columns.
