• The Textile industry is a long chain including raw materials production, complement production,
clothing production etc.
• India is becoming a global manufacturing hubs in textiles. Increasing demand in domestic and
international markets is opening a new world of opportunities for the Indian Industry
• The textile industry is also labor intensive and is one of the largest employers.
• This organized supply chain sector consisting of spinning, apparel and garments segment which
apply modern machinery and techniques.
• The parties involved are spinning, knitting factories, trading firms, and international retails.
• To enhance their competitiveness in the global market, some local apparel companies have
formed strategic partnership with textile manufacturers , international trading firms & supply
chain partners.

• Dependent on seasonal factors and the trendy market.
