DEFINE COMPUTER AND WHAT ARE THE
OPERATIONS THAT A COMPUTER PERFORMS?

Definition of computer:
• A computer is an electronic device.
• It’s consisted of a collection of components that have been designed to
perform four basic operations.
The four operations are:
• Input
• Processing
• Output
• Storage

HOW THE INFORMATION CAN BE A PART OF
PROCESSING CYCLE?

1. Input: Getting (receiving) data into the computer.

2. Processing: Transforming the data (usually not clear to some) into
meaningful information that people can understand and use.
3. Output: Displaying the Information (the processed data).
4. Storage: Saving the information for later use.
