Introduction
• The sports complex is a curvaceous Bracing rods
landscape building whose design implied
Timber rafters
high technical and aesthetic requirements.
It is an ambitious use and original of the Q lvl panel beams
cross-folded laminates which was chosen
for this complex frame and large-scale, Polycarbonate
thus offering the possibility of making facade
large curved box girders.
• The use of a cross-ply Laminate panel
made from box beams great architectural
freedom by allowing large spans to be
made, while working on optimizing the
wooden structure. The beams are cut from
laminate panels to 2.50m wide cross folds
up to 69mm thick
• The dimensions of the complex can be
likened to a rectangle of 130m by 40m,
with a maximum building height of
10.35m, above the gymnasium space on
the east facade.
