•Analyzing data is an important task
within a business enterprise.
•It is used to improve products and
services, to promote and market them
effectively, and help management make
important decisions regarding the
business.

•Bookkeeping is very important


in operating a business.
•It shows whether the business
is profitable or not.
USING SPREADSHEETS
•Spreadsheets an help you do basic
math such as addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and divisions.
•You can also do the following:
•Format the column titles with text;
•Enter textual information in each cell
aside from numbers;
•Delete, add, or merge columns or
rows;
•Add or delete sheets; and
•Select printing options
•1. Copy the raw materials inventory in
a new spreadsheet file.
•2. Compute for the (available stock) by
deducting the (daily usage) from the
(start of the week stock).
•3. To make the inventory more useful to
you as entreprenuer, it should inform you
whether there is a need to buy more
stocks. This information should be included
under (remarks). To do this, you should
determine the percentage of (available
stock). Add a column that will contain the
information.
•4. Compute for the (percentage of
remaining stock).
•5. Use the (if function) to generate
automatic comment under (remarks).
•6. Do the if function for the rest of the
data in column L.
•7. Now, add another row
•8. Use the countif function to automatically
count the number of items with
(inaduqaute). Remarks under column L.
•9. Analyze the entries in the function
argument box.
•10. add another column with (supplier) as
heading.
•11. This time you need to set a condition
that will automatically set the supplier’s
name. to do this, you need to create a
separate table which will serve as
reference for the condition.
•12. The VLOOKUP function will be
used for this task. Take a look at the
function argument box.
•13. Repeat the VLOOKUP formula for
the rest of the cells under column M.
•14. Save your work.
