Example:

Kumintang
- encompasses many dances styles,techniques,and forms written
about by 19th –century travelers as a song and dance number.
Kuradang
-found in many places in Visayas,has step combination in ¾ time.
Langka
- is a traditional dance of Samal.it is a martial arts for men and
women.
Lunsay comes from the Cagayan de Sulu, Tawi-tawi.
Martial dances imatate warriors, armed and unarmed ,in a stylized battle.
The tinikling –is perhaps the most popular folk mimetic dance and features as
entertainment where the audience is invited to join.
Pangalay- is a generic name among the Tausug and Samal for any dance.
Ethnic examples are the andardi of the tagbanua of Palawan and the lunsay in
Jolo,Sulu.
