trillion.

• NASDAQ charges only 50000 to 70000 dollars; NYSE charges around 500000
dollars.
• NASDAQ has a daily trading volume of around 1.57M; NYSE has that of 1.46M.
• NASDAQ is a dealers’ market(market maker); NYSE is an auction market.

• Most heavily tech weighted Index


• The Nasdaq Composite Index is a market-capitalization-weighted
index of ALL the stocks traded on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
• index includes even the companies that are not based in the United
States.
• Known for being heavily tech weighted, this index includes several
subsectors across the tech market including software, biotech,
semiconductors, and etc
NASDAQ Composite Index:

• variety of sectors as well, including financials, industrials, insurance,


and transportation stocks, among other.
• The Nasdaq Composite includes large and it also includes many
speculative companies with small market capitalizations.
• Consequently, its movement generally indicates the performance of
the technology industry as well as investors’ attitudes toward more
speculative stocks.
NASDAQ-100 Index:

• Launched in January 1985,


• The Nasdaq-100 Index includes 100 of the largest domestic and
international non-financial companies listed on The Nasdaq Stock
Market based on market capitalization.
• Index reflects companies across major industry groups including
computer hardware and software, telecommunications,
retail/wholesale trade and biotechnology.
• It does not contain securities of financial companies including
investment companies.
