About the Company

 Numaligarh Refinery Limited, a


Subsidiary of M/s. Bharat Petroleum
Corporation Limited is a Govt. of India
Enterprise Under Oil & Gas Sector.

1.1 The Genesis

 Also known as “ Accord Refinery” was proposed in the historic


Assam accord on 15.08.1985

Foundation Stone laid by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister Late P.V
Narasimha Rao on 03.07.1992

“ NRL incorporated on 22.04.1993

CCEA approval on 15.07.1992

Commercial Production commenced from 01.10.2000

quality & cost.

4.3 Care for Nature:

Ultra Modern Effluent Treatment plant:

 Equipped with 3 stage oil recovery system and tertiary treatment


facilities.

 100% reuse of Treated Effluent as fire water make up, as cooling water
make up, as cooling tower filter backwash and in the green belt of the
refinery

Twin flare system with non-illuminating ground flame:

 To protect the natural inhabitants in Kaziranga National Park which


houses many Endangered species.

•The importance and role of NRL in Indian Economy was studied.

•All the geographic and locational data of the refinery was made out
clear from the presentation.

• The performance of the refinery over the years.

• How and types of facilities installed in NRL was known.

•Role of the refinery in Social culture was mentioned.

•Plots of Sales and Turnover of the refinery over the course of ten
years were plotted.
