Adverb
Adverb is a word that provides additional
information on verbs, adjective words or other
adverb words.
According to Gucker (59; 1966) “adverb is a word
used to modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.

Adverb of Place (Where)
Adverb of place is an adverb that explains where the event occurred. examples are in, at, on, beside,
above, there, below ,etc.
- I sitting beside my mother on the bus.

Adverb of Manner (How)
Adverb of manner is an adverb that shows how an activity is carried out. for example: angrily, badly,
beautifully, honestly, suddenly, correctly, and etc.
- She dances beautifully.
- He screams angrily to his neighbor.
Adverb of Frequency (How often)
Adverb of frequency is an adverb that explains how often an activity is carried out. examples: always,
normally, often, sometimes, seldom, and never.
- Daniel always passes his exams.
- He is always happy.
Adverb of Degree (How much)
Adverb of degree is an adverb used to express how many levels or ranks of an activity. for example: quite,
fairly, almost, completely, and hardly.
