Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. In a medical or
biological context stress is a physical, mental, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental
tension. Stresses can be external (from the environment, psychological, or social situations) or
internal (illness, or from a medical procedure).

expectations when something wrongs, changes,…

• Talk to Someone:
Stress can cloud your judgement and prevent you from seeing things clearly. Talking things through with a friend, work colleague, or
even a trained professional, can help you find solutions to your stress and put your problems into perspective.

• Take Control:
One problem-solving technique involves writing down the problem and coming up with as many possible solutions as you can.
Decide on the good and bad points of each one and select the best solution. Write down each step that you need to take as part of
the solution: what will be done, how will it be done, when will it be done, who is involved and where will it take place.

• Manage Your Time:


At times, we all feel overburdened by our 'To Do' list and this is a common cause of stress. Accept that you can not do everything at
once and start to prioritise and diarise your tasks.

• Rest If You Are ILL:


If you are feeling unwell, do not feel that you have to carry on regardless. A short spell of rest will enable the body to recover faster.

Tips for reducing stress:


• Keep a positive attitude.
• Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
• Be assertive instead of aggressive. Assert your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive,
or passive.
• Learn and practice relaxation techniques; try meditation, yoga, or tai-chi.
• Exercise regularly. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit.
• Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
• Learn to manage your time more effectively.
• Set limits appropriately and say no to requests that would create excessive stress in your life.
• Make time for hobbies and interests.
• Get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
• Don't rely on alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviors to reduce stress.
• Seek treatment with a psychologist or other mental health professional trained in stress management or
biofeedback techniques to learn more healthy ways of dealing with the stress in your life.

Pass your words


Divide in two team: 1 and 2. The first person of each team will come up and memorize as many given words
as possible. Then each person of each team will go back their seats and whisper to the person next to them
the words they have remembered.

Whisper continuously until the last person of each group. The last person will write all the words they have
heard down a paper and give it to the presenter. Which group has more words will be the winner.
