Usable Fuel Capacity – 2845 lb per tank
(5690 lb total)

Fuel Temp Ranges - 40° C to + 43°C

The FUEL TEMP LOW light must be off for takeoff

The XFEED and CONN valve switches should be off

and closed during takeoff and landing in normal
operation.
20
Oil Limitations

Minimum oil temp for start is - 40° C

21
Propeller Limitations
Avoid continuous operation on the ground
between 1070 and 1220 Np unless needed
for normal taxi.

22
Engine Start Limitations
Max of two start attempts (with 3 min cooling period between) if
fuel is introduced, then 25 min of cooling.

Three dry motoring ventilations (no fuel introduced), with three

min cooling between each, then one hour cooling.

Lightoff (ITT rise) must occur within 20 sec of initial Ng rotation

Maximum time with starter engaged = 70 sec, of which 30 sec

max of dry motoring.

23
Engine Airborne Operating Limits

In-flight operation of the power levers aft of

the FLT IDLE gate is prohibited.

24
Other Limitations

25

31
Wheel Brake Cooling Limits
Brake cooling energy limits must be observed
after a high-energy rejected takeoff before
another takeoff is attempted.

The wheel rim must be cool enough to hold a

hand on it.

32
Ice Protection
Engine Anti-Ice must be ON in icing
conditions and remain ON for an additional
5 minutes after exiting icing conditions
(+10° C or colder in visible moisture).

Both AC generators must be operational for

flight in icing conditions.

33
Prop De-Ice
Prop deice should be selected on anytime the
aircraft is in icing conditions and ice has
accumulated.

NORM position - - 5° to - 12° C

MAX position - - 13° C or colder

34
Airframe Ice Protection
Severe icing includes:
Unusually extensive ice on areas not normally
observed to collect ice.
Accumulation of ice on the lower surface of the wing
aft of the protected area.
Accumulation of ice on the prop spinner farther aft
than normally observed.

35
Airframe Ice Protection

Since the autopilot may mask tactile cues that

indicate adverse changes in handling and
aerodynamic characteristics, use of the autopilot is
prohibited when any of the visual cues specified
above exist, when unusual lateral trim
requirements exist, or when autopilot trim
warnings are encountered in icing conditions.

36
Automatic Flight Control System
Use of flight director information in go-around mode
during takeoff is not authorized.

During autopilot operations in icing conditions,

FD/AP IAS mode is the only authorized vertical
mode to be used during climb.

Autopilot and Yaw Damper operation is not

authorized for takeoff, landing, or go-around.

37
Automatic Flight Control System
The autopilot and flight director are authorized for
CAT I approach operations only.

On approach, the autopilot must e disengaged at or

above 200 ft above the runway.

Minimum autopilot operating altitude (other than

approaches) is 500 ft AGL.
