The Fortune 500 provides a list of the largest companies in the U.S.

It is issued annually and is considered an important benchmark of the


country's economic health as well as an indicator of where industry is
heading.
The list is produced by Fortune Magazine, a New York-based financial
magazine that is one of the most respected economic publications in the
world.
