Closed Cooling Water System
Closed Cooling Water System
Closed Cooling Water System
SYSTEM (PGB)
To supply sufficient quantity of cooling
water to the power island.
At the lowest temp possible even in
adverse summer conditions by the
advanced PHT Exchangers.
To provide the cw with adequate pr at all
times by having the expansion tanks in
the system.
Closed Cooling water system
The CCW system will provide cooling water to the
following consumers.
1)GT lub oil system by PHT Exchangers
2)Generator Air cooling system (4nos on each GT)
3)Boiler FW pumps lub oil and the working oil coolers
4)Steam turbine lub oil coolers
5)Steam Turbine control fluid system coolers.
6)Steam turbine gland steam condensers
7)Condensate circulating pumps(CPH) gland cooling and
sealing water.
8)Sample coolers

working oil coolers
and the lube oil
coolers of all the 4
pumps in the plant.
Inlet v/v full open
and the outlet v/v
throttled
Temp indicator is
provided on all the
outlet isolation

CCW to the CPH Circulating
pumps
In the CPH

water is applied
first and the same
water is tapped off
for the gland
cooling.

CCW Gland Steam condensers
of Steam Turbines ST10/20
The Gland steam

condensing of the
gland steam can
be achieved with
little higher cw
temp.
