Introduction
To design and submit a research poster for the 2017 OHIMA Annual Meeting
showcasing research skills over topics related to Health Information
Management by the deadline of March 20, 2017.
By displaying research on the future development of Health Information
Management in areas such as technological advancements, HIM role and
departmental changes, and future educational requirements, the poster
submitted will compete in the Associate category for a chance to win a
prize and recognition in the March OHIMA e-newsletter.
Project Scope
The research poster was submitted within all required deadlines and judged
from March 20, 2017 March 22, 2017. All OHIMA requirements and
guidelines were followed and the research documentation was printed on a
24 x 36 poster. The research topic chosen for this project dealt with the
future of Health Information Management and what we can expect in the
years to come.
Overall, the poster project was a success winning the first place prize in the
Associate category and will be recognized in OHIMAs March e-newsletter.
