Introduction
This presentation is to give a brief idea on what is HR, What is the HR
process and What are the HR functions.

The purpose of doing this presentation is to gain the basic knowledge


what is the role of the HRM unit inside an organization.
What is HRM?
HRM is the function performed in an organizations that gets the most effective use of people
(employees) to achieve organizational and individual goals.
Why is Human Resource Management important in an
Organization?
1. To do job analysis.
2. To recruit the best person for the right job role.
3. For positioning, familiarizing and training the employees.
4. To plan wages and salaries.
5. To offer benefits and incentives.
6. To assess the performance of each employee.

7. To resolve the conflicts.

8. To take decisions on Human Rights.

9. To make company policies.

10. To run a smooth business by getting the best from the employees
and giving the best to the employees.

HR Planning
Connecting HR Management strategies and methods to succeed the
overall goals, strategies, and success of the organization while meeting
the needs of employees and stakeholders.
What is Recruitment?
Recruitment novels attracting a field of suitable candidates for a job. It
Should attract suitable applicant in a cost effective manner within a quick time
period.
What is Selection
Selection involves choosing the best person for the job form the field of
Candidates soured via recruitment.

Reliability To give consistent results


Validity As a predictor of future performance
Fairness Selection in a non discriminatory way
Cost effectiveness in term of managers time and other options
available
What is Orientation
Interdiction of a new employee to his / her job and organization
A program designed to help employee fit smoothly into an organization

Review of organizations history purpose operations, and product or services and
contribution of employees job to the organization needs.

What is Training
A systematic process of developing KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTITUDE and
technology that is needed to assist a person to perform better in the present job.

Most training is directed at upgrading and improving an employees abilities or


skills .
Importance of Training
Helps improve performance of individual jobs and thereby improving
the performance of the overall organizations.
Improve product quality
Improve work efficiency
Improve quality of service levels
Increase moral and positive attitude
Career progression of employees
What is Evaluation
This is a systematic comparison done in order to
determined the worth of one job, relative to another

Is a system of comparing different jobs to provide a basis


for a grading and pay structure.
Compensations & Benefits
This process is rewarding the employees according to their
performance. It can be either an increment or a compensation.

Compensation is the total cash and non-cash payments that you give to
an employee in exchange for the work they do for the business.
Compensation is more than an employees regular paid wages.

It also includes many other types of wages and benefits.


Retaining
After the probation period making the newly recruited
staff permanent and giving the job security to the staff.

Retain them with providing them extra facilities such


as:
Medical facilities
Educational facilities
Separation & Terminating
Termination & separation are both proper methods to describe when an employee
layoff occurs.

Even though the word termination sounds like the employee was at mistake,
termination while layoff means the occupation association finished due to
business ending or a nonexistence of available.

Where there is an indefinite layoff, such as business end, the termination process
is sometimes called a separation because there exists a thin probability employees
may be called back.
HR Functions
The goal of a human resource manager is to strengthen the employer-
employee relationship. This goal is supported by a variety of functions within
the human resources department and throughout the organization.

Conclusion
After discussing all the above points,

We can come to conclusion that even if we have all the needed


resources we should know to manage them in a proper manner.

In order to manage the human resource in a proper manner and to


receive the best from them to achieve the goals and objectives of the
organization, at least one person should have a wide knowledge about
HRM to run a smooth and successful business.
