came back to life.
In one particularly impressive story, Vincent happened upon a procession for a certain man
to be executed by hanging for committing a grievous crime. Somehow, Vincent knew that
the person was innocent, and he pleaded with the government officials, but to no use.
Coincidentally, a corpse was being carried by on a stretcher at that moment. Vincent asked
the corpse, Is this man guilty? Answer me! The dead man immediately came back to life,
sat up, and said, He is not! The man then laid back down on the stretcher. When Vincent
offered the man a reward for helping to vindicate the innocent man, the man said, No,
father, for I am assured of my salvation. And so he died again right then.

St. Clare of Assisi (friends with St. Francis) was the head of her convent in Italy
Bad guy named Emperor Frederick II was attacking the city of Assisi and St. Damiens
church (where St. Clare and her nuns were) was a target
As the marauders were scaling the walls of the convent, St. Clare brought the
Monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament out and set it in sight of the enemy and prayed
for safety.
She heard a voice like the voice of a little child saying, "I will have them always in My
care." She prayed again, for the city, and again the voice came, reassuring her.
She then turned to the trembling nuns and said, "Have no fear, little daughters; trust in
Jesus."
The enemy, for no apparent reason at all, got scared and ran away and didnt attack the
convent or church!
