Nestl is a Swiss-German word which means LittleNest

which is its trademark.


Nestle is the worlds largest and leading food, nutrition,
health and wellness company.
Founded and headquartered in Vevev, Switzerland.
Has 447 factories in 194 countries and employs more than
3,39,000 people.
Mainly deals in chocolates, milk products, maggi, soup,
sauce, coffee, tea, milkmaid, and mineral water etc.

HISTORY
Henri Nestl established the Company

Nestl in1867 in Switzerland.


He was a trained pharmacist, who made
an attempt to develop an alternative source
of infant nutrition.
He created the first milk and cereal
based infant food Farine Lacte Henri Nestl.

Nestle India set up its 8th manufacturing

facility at Tahliwal (Himachal Pradesh),


in 2012 .
Production in this factory began in 2012
with the manufacture of Nestle instant Maggie and Munch.
This factory employs 145 people and is cited as a model in
terms of environment protection. Employeer as well
Employee safety is major concern in Nestle Tahliwal Una.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVE
The main objectives of my project are:
To study the Recruitment and Selections procedures used at
Nestle TahliwalIndiaLtd, UNA.
To analyze the satisfactory level of the employees about
Recruitment and Selection procedure of an organization.

METHODOLOGY
DESCRIPTIVE RESEARCH DESIGN
Descriptive research design studies are those studies, which
are concerned with describing the character of a group.
The researcher makes a plan of the study his research work.
That will enable the researcher to save and resources such a
plan of study or blue print or study is called a research design.
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
Questionnaire containing both closed and open ended
questions.
SAMPLE UNIT
Sample unit is 70 Nestle Company Ltd, Tahliwal, UNA but the
filled questionnaire received from the respondents is 40.
Total Employee strength of the Nestle Plant is Above

SAMPLE DESIGN:

SAMPLE PROCEDURES
In this study convenient sampling method was adopted. First the Nestle
organization was divided into different departments like culinary production,
Engineering, Quality Assurance Etc. From this department, the respondents were
selected on the basis of convenience.
TOOLS USED FOR ANALYSIS
Simple percentage analysis
It is simple analysis tool. In this method, based on the opinions of the respondents,
percentage and bar chart is calculated for the respective scales of each factor.

LIMITATIONS OF STUDY
It is said, Nothing is perfect and if the quite is true, I am sure that
there will be few shortcomings in this project also. Sincere efforts will
be made to eliminate discrepancies as far as possible but few will be
reminded due to limitations of the study. These are:

Collecting data properly from employees become difficulty due to the

time constraint.
Busy schedule of the employees also effected to some extent.
There is a chance for bias in the information given by the respondents.
The study was based on sample hence results were not fully absolute.
Complete information has not revealed by the companies for
administrative reasons.
All this study is limited to Nestle ltd Tahliwal , UNA Himachal Pradesh
only.

Findings
50% of respondents said that the recruitment and selection process is

good in the company


80% of respondents said that the current recruitment policy doesnt
want any modifications in the company.
90% of respondents are satisfied with the recruitment procedure in
the company.
55% of respondents said that they were satisfied in the selection
process of the company.
60% of respondents come to know about the job vacancies through
their friends in the company.
75% of respondents said that the employees have the work
experience.
100% of respondents said that the recruitment process in the
organization is ethical and transparent.

CONCLUSION
The study was conducted among the workers of nestle ltd
tahliwal, himachal pradseh, covering 40 respondents. The data was
collected by means of questionnaire and the data was classified
and analyzed carefully by all means. From the analysis, it has been
found that the most of the employees in the company were
satisfied but changes are required according to the changing
scenario of recruitment process that has a great impact on working
of the company as a fresh blood, new idea enters in the company.
Selection process is also good and the companys recruitment

department is doing well in placing the candidates and filling the


job vacancies for all levels of positions. Some of the suggestions
were mentioned to enhance the organizational policies, strategies,
procedures and process
