This document discusses a project to develop a kiosk-based multimedia system for providing services in a college. It has three main modules: a public equipment module to design customizable maps, a user-interactivity module to accommodate different types of users, and a platform kiosk module to centrally manage information across multiple kiosks. The goal is to create an easy-to-use self-service system using the latest technologies to provide information to students, staff, and visitors on campus.

Kiosk Based Multimedia
Service Access for College
Presented by H.Praveena II-B.Tech IT-B G.Renuka II-B.Tech IT-B Introduction Growth of the communications & Information technology innovation is progressively fast.
The theme of this project is to find the location for a particular place.
In this, we are taking the concept of kiosk product. cond.,
A kiosk is a small physical structure that displays information for people.
Kiosks are also used at trade shows and professional conferences.
In todays busy world, kiosk machines and college kiosks are growing increasingly popular Objective
The main goals of this research are developing the new generation of Multimedia i.e., e-kiosk.
kiosk design would connect to many aspect that are social, cultural, technical and design aspect.
cond.,
Modules
Public Equipment module
User-Interactivity module
Platform Kiosk module
Cond., Public Equipment module This module consists of map designing depends on customer needs.
This can be classfied on basis of the users skills.. Illiterate user Common user Extreme user Physically challenged user
ILLITERATE USER This focuses on simple user interface with adequate information Efficient simple interface focused on user needs Avoid computer-look on interface COMMON USER Interface kiosk design must be stylish and eye catching to attract user sense of curiosity Interface should interesting and up to date and should not frustrate the user with contextual and technical aspects
EXTREME USER Functional kiosk interface response should be reliable Minimal error or system crash are essential
PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED USER Implementing design of user interface that accommodate to differentiable user with physical and access limitation
PLATFORM KIOSK MODULE We have many kiosk machine allocated in different places As we cannot maintain each kiosk machine separately by using a single user. So it is easy to have a single main server to maintain the overall kiosk information.
ADVANTAGES
- Kiosk as human servant in need would make more reliable, fast and accurate service. - This design is initiate step of using up to date self service device implementation for the public. - In aspect of business, education, social and cultural would be good value for the future.
