OBJECTIVES
This project deals with automatically activate siren

circuit when any person enters in the restricted area of the industry. This kit can be kept in between the door and it will generate a sound if there is a breakage of the transmission between the IR transmitter and receiver. Here we are using IR transmitter and receiver. When a person enters inside then there will be the breakage of transmission and it will alert the security person by activating the buzzer (siren) circuit.

EXISTING TECHNOLOGIES

INFRARED TECHNOLOGY:
Infrared technology allows computing devices to

communicate via short-range wireless signals. With infrared, computers can transfer files and other digital data bidirectional. The infrared transmission technology used in computers is similar to that used in consumer product remote control units.

OUR TECHNOLOGY/IDEA/APPROACH
In our project the task of identifying the unknown

person who enters into the industry by sensor is achieved by designing a IR Based Embedded Application.

HOW IT WORKS???
When an object i.e. hands come into range of the infrared

sensors detection zone, the valve is activated. After the user removes their hands, the valve closes. The circuit of the Auto tap resets automatically for the next user. Auto taps infrared Series provide the user water only when needed, resulting in reduced water usage and maintenance costs. Auto tap Infrared Surround Sensors continuously scan the detection zone around the tap.

MICROCONTROLLER
A microcontroller is a computer on chip device. The design incorporates all off the features found in

microprocessor CPU, ALU, PC, SP and registers. It also has added the other features needed to make a complete computer like ROM, RAM, parallel I/O, Serial I/O, counters and clock circuits. It consists of three timers/counters, two 8-bit, one 16-bit. It also includes two serial communication ports, Universal Synchronous Receive- Transmit (USART), Synchronous Serial Port (SSP). PIC16f73 is a powerful microcontroller which provides which provides a highly flexible and costeffective solution to many embedded control applications.

LED:
LED is very useful for electronics products. It is used as

an indicator for power availability, indicator for success execution of any processes, indicator for any alarm or failure and so on. Without LED, electronics products cannot inform user for any action that need to be take and cannot inform any successful execution.

CRYSTAL
It is used to give energy to the micro controller.
The crystal values is in between 4MHz to 24MHz.

RESET
It is used to start the program from beginning

onwards.

BUZZER
A buzzer or beeper is a signalling device, usually

electronic, typically used in automobiles, household appliances such as a microwave oven, or game shows. It most commonly consists of a number of switches or sensors connected to a control unit that determines if and which button was pushed or a preset time has lapsed, and usually illuminates a light on the appropriate button or control panel, and sounds a warning in the form of a continuous or intermittent buzzing or beeping sound.

SENSOR
MOC7811 is a slotted Opto isolator module, with an IR

transmitter & a photodiode mounted on it. Performs Non-Contact Object Sensing. This is normally used as positional sensor switch (limit switch) or as Position Encoder sensors used to find position of the wheel. It consists of IR LED and Photodiode mounted facing each other enclosed in plastic body.

KIT WORKING SNAPS

ADVANTAGES OF USING IR TECHNOLOGY

.Compatability:9.5kKz is industry standard - Home receivers can be used with public transmitters -250 kHz if high intensity lighting 2.No spillover means security 3.Can be used in adjacent rooms 4.Widest bandwidth 115kbps and best sound reproduction 5.Appropriate for mild to moderate/severe loss 6.Not affected by radio transmission

DISADVANTAGES OF USING IR TECHNOLOGY

Receivers required for everyone 2.Must have direct line of sight 3.Cant cover the receiver or put in pocket 4.Indoor or evening use only 5.High intensity or fluorescent lights cause interference 6.Large areas require multiple emitter panels 7.Quality varies with company

APPLICATIONS
The Industrial Security Program provides guidance to

Canadian industry and other organizations, to ensure the safeguarding of Protected/Classified information and assets in the custody or under control of private sector contractors or individuals, in order to: prevent a security breach or compromise of such information and assets; prevent disruption or destruction of services; prevent theft, misuse or abuse of property, which could hinder contract performance and could create a potential compromise of material.

CONCLUSIONS
In this project we proposed to use sensor using IR

technology. We have successfully transmitted data and received data at receiver end and the result is observed by buzzer (siren) through Microcontroller. So, hence we conclude that, we can easily identify the unknown person who entered into the restricted area by IR technology which reduces effort when compared wired technology.

When light emited by the IR LED is blocked because

of alternating slots of the encoder disc logic level of the photo diode changes. This change in the logic level can be sensed by the microcontroller or by discrete hardware. This sensor is used to give position feedback to the robot or as Limit switches.

FUTURE SCOPE
In this project we truly relied on IR technology .A security

system that senses one's evil intentions and sounds an alarm. Possible Not so far, of course, but who knows what the future has in store for us. According to industry experts, we're in for some big surprises that have the potential make our lives easier, safer, more productive and more enjoyable.
