Earth With
God’s Glorious
Blessing

The Glory of God
• Revelation of His
Character
• Demonstration of His
Power
• Manifestation of His
Wisdom
The glory of
God is both
essential and
declarative.
His essential glory
represents all that is in Him
which is glorious.

His declarative glory is

the showing forth or the
revealing of all that is wise,
good and great about HIM.

God Promises
That His Glory
Will Fill The
Whole Earth.
Isaiah 40:4
The glory of the Lord
shall be revealed, And
all flesh shall see it
together; For the mouth
of the Lord has spoken.
Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be
filled With the knowledge
of the glory of the Lord,
As the waters cover the
sea.
Numbers 14:21
But truly, as I live, all the
earth shall be filled with
the glory of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the
glory of the Lord, are being
transformed into the same
image from glory to glory, just
as by the Spirit of the
Lord.
2 Corinthians 1:20-22
20 For all the promises of God in Him
are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the
glory of God through us.
21 Now He who establishes us with
you in Christ and has anointed us is
God,
22 who also has sealed us and given
us the Spirit in our hearts as a
guarantee.
Colossians 1:27
To them God willed to make
known what are the riches of
the glory of this mystery among
the Gentiles: which is Christ
the hope of
in you,
glory.
1 Peter 2:9-12
9 But you are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, a holy nation, His
own special people, that you may
proclaim the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into His marvelous
light; 10 who once were not a people
but are now the people of God, who
had not obtained mercy but now have
obtained mercy.
1 Peter 2:9-12 (cont.)
11 Beloved, I beg you as sojourners
and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts
which war against the soul, 12 having
your conduct honorable among the
Gentiles, that when they speak against
you as evildoers, they may, by your
good works which they observe,
Glorify God in the day of visitation.
A “People” of Glory
“That ye may show forth - By your
whole behavior, to all mankind.
The excellent glory - the virtues,
wisdom, and power of Him, Christ,
who hath called you out of the
darkness of ignorance, error, sin,
and misery.” - John Wesley
Our Mission
Filling the earth
with His Glory!
• Revealing God’s Character.
• Demonstrating God’s Power.
• Manifesting God’s Wisdom.
“If God made us for His glory,
it is clear that we should live
for His glory. Our duty comes
from His design. So, that is
what every man and woman
and child should devote his or
her life to.”
- John Piper
“Waste Places”
Any place in God’s creation
that isn’t a habitation of His
Glorious presence. Any
place that does not have a
manifestation of God’s
goodness, greatness and
wisdom.

Living For His Glory

2. As a UNITED People

5. As a PRAISING People
Living For His Glory

As a People
of BLESSING
We Are Blessed
• Deuteronomy 28
• 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
• Psalm 84
• Ephesians 1:3
We Are Blessed
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that you
may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as
your soul prospers.
John 13:17
If you know these
things, blessed are
you if you do
them.
Blessed are
you …
To be blessed by God is to reach
the most desired position on
earth. It means to be
supernaturally happy, satisfied,
fulfilled, and contented.
If you do
them!
Blessing doesn’t come from just
knowing what God wants us to do.

Blessing comes when we ARE

DOING what God wants us to do.
How to Bless
Eugeleo (To Eulogize)
2. To praise others – to speak about
others in a positive way.
3. To sacrificially serve others – with
humility and great generosity.
4. To speak blessing to others – asking
God to poor His blessings upon them.
How to Bless
Blessing others begins in our hearts.

When We Place The Same

VALUE and HONOR On a
Person That God Has
Placed On Them!
The Rule of Benedict
6 Century
th

Visitors should always find the porter

at the door to greet them, no matter
what time of day or night. When a
visitor arrives, whether a nobleman or
not, it is the Porter’s job to warmly
greet the visitor saying, “Your
blessing, please.”
Count That Day Lost
by George Eliot

If you sit down at set of sun

And count the acts that you
have done,
And, counting, find
One self-denying deed,
one word
That eased the heart of him
who heard,
One glance most kind
That fell like sunshine where
it went --
Then you may count that day
well spent.
But if, through all the
livelong day,
You've cheered no heart,
by yea or nay --
If, through it all
You've nothing done that
you can trace
That brought the sunshine
to one face --
No act most small
That helped some soul
and nothing cost --
Then count that day as
worse than lost.
Why Don’t We?
1. SELFISHNESS (Haggai 1)
• We are more focused on getting our
needs met than on blessing others.
• We are waiting until we have an
abundance.
• We have become Consumers rather
than Givers.
Why Don’t We?
• PRIDE
• Doing life out of our own strength –
not depending on God.
• We’ve become self-sufficient.
• We expect others to “pull themselves
up by their bootstraps” and to fix their
own problems.
Why Don’t We?
3. JUDGEMENTAL
• We don’t believe God will bless a
“damaged person.”
• We believe God is offended by sin and
can’t wait to punish sinners.
• We don’t believe it is fair for a non-
Christian to be blessed.
Why Don’t We?
4. FEAR & UNBELIEF
• We are afraid that we will not have
enough if we give it away.
• We don’t believe God will really take
care of us.
• We aren’t sure that God wants to bless
us.
What if, every morning, we got out
of bed and said to the Lord …

“Help me be Your
blessing today to
every person I
encounter?”
