Jan. 17th Jan. 25th: Classes will read The Lorax and sign the class pledge to Speak for the Trees. Week of Feb. 3rd: After school book clubs will begin. (More information to follow). Feb. 10th Feb. 22nd: Letter to Mother Earth (optional writing activity that will be sent home to be completed). February 15th: Family Reading Night (details will be sent home closer to the event) Week of Feb. 25th: Look for The Lorax students will search for pictures of staff members sporting the Lorax mustache placed throughout the school. March 1st: Dr. Seuss Day March 4th 15th: Slogan Poster Contest (w/ Rockys Rembrandts) more information to follow. March 7th: World Read Aloud Day March 25th-28th: Pledge Tree students will complete pledge cards in which they promise to speak for the trees and take care of their environment. TBD: Family Movie Day Families will have the opportunity to view the movie The Lorax at Bethel Cinema (Details will be sent home closer to the event.)

Parent University is a FREE educational program, offered by Bethel Public Schools, for parents and caregivers. Parent University provides parents and caregivers the opportunity to gain a better understanding about what their children are learning and become a full partner in their child's education. The Parent University workshops will educate, involve, and empower PreKindergarten thru Grade Twelve parents and caregivers. They will focus on wellbeing and social issues, curriculum, instruction and assessment.
