    Convincing others means being able to demonstrate ways of doing the CBR and achieving concrete results worthy of being recognized.

    Why advocate CBR?

    LGUs are duty-bound in accordance with the

    Local Government Code of the Philippines


    and the

    Magna Carta for Disabled Persons

    Compliance with international agreements


    such as the

    Biwako Millenium Framework.

    Sharing responsibility as duty bearers.


    Redistribution of responsibilities from San Jose de Buenavista, capital town of the Province of Antique, to the rest of the LGUs in the Province.

    Enrich the CBR practice.


    We learn from each other to create more innovation that would further enhance CBR implementation.

    Reinforce each other


    achieving a critical mass to achieve a rights-based, barrierfree and inclusive society for persons with disabilities.

    Sustainable Development.
    Make a difference in the economic terrain of the Municipality, the Province of Antique and eventually in the socio-economic condition of the Philippines through CBR as a strategy for genuine social inclusiveness.

    Result

    Approximately 84 mayors have signed up, wanting to take on CBR through the League of Mayors of the Philippines (LMP).
