Introduction:The Search engines are popular world wide and there are enormous number of users for it. But preference of the search engine differ from one to another. It is due to various reasons. Our study is to find the preference of Search engine by the users and to know the reason for their preference especially between the two search engines Google and Bing. Both are good sources for internet search Google Inc. is a multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, and cloud adverting technologies. Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products, and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program.
The company was founded by Larry page and Sergey Brin, often dubbed the "Google Guys", while the two were attending Stanford University as Ph.D. candidates. It was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 4, 1998, and its initial public offering followed on August 19, 2004. The company's stated mission from the outset was "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful", and the company's unofficial slogan coined by Google engineer Paul Buchheit is "Don't be evi". In 2006, the company moved to their current headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Bing (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search) is a web search engine (advertised as a "decision engine")from Microsoft. Bing was unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on May 28, 2009 at the All Things Digital conference in San Diego. It went fully online on June 3, 2009, with a preview version released on June 1, 2009. Notable changes include the listing of search suggestions as queries are entered and a list of related searches (called "Explorer pane") based on semantic technology from Powerset that Microsoft purchased in 2008. On July 29, 2009, Microsoft and Yahoo announced a deal in which Bing would power Yahoo! Search.

The data for this study is mostly from two sources,they are 1)PRIMARY DATA 2)SECONDARY DATA The Primary data is gathered or collected by preparing questionnaire consisting of eight questions probing the information about the Search engines from it users. Questions are prepared keeping the objective of study that what is the reason for the net users to prefer more only one search engine(among Google & Bing), reasons for their preference. Our target respondents are the MHRM & MBA final year students(age group 22 to 25)of Gitam Institute of Management.
Questionnaire was prepared and forwarded to their mail-Id. We followed this method as the respondents can fill the questionnaire in their preferable time and no need to insist them to respond to questionnaire. Secondary data was majorly collected from WIKIPEDIA . Cases pertaining to it in magazine like BUSINESS WORLD and articles in DAILY like THE HINDU, Eenadu. As this sources were precise in providing adequate information about the search engines we preferred this.
DATA INTERPRETATION Google is the most using search engine with 40%. When compared to other search engines Rediff occupies the 2nd position with 20% from the total and followed by yahoo and Bing with 16.33% and 13.33% respectively. Whereas Ask shows least percentage i.e..,10%.

DATA INTERPRETATION The information collected from this question states that people use Google majorly because of the above stated reasons it says that 40% use this only because of the easy assessable.30% because of the good service and well structured carries 16.66%
DATA INTERPRETATION From the collected information it says that people of 73.33% has experienced the Bing where as people of 26.66% from the total didnt experienced the Google service.
DATA INTERPRETATION From the data collected through the questionnaires says that Google provides much speed in the assessing i.e.., 40%.the 27% of the respondents states that yahoo and bind provides the same assessing speed. The last 2% of the people says that the remaining search engines also provide good speed

DATA INTERPRETATION This states that 15% of the respondents agree that Bing provides good search of the information but the 15% also agrees that Bing doesnt provide much relevant search other search engines do.
Promotion: It should use various media types that is print and electronic media. Giving adds in newspapers, magazines, channels and in websites etc Expansion: Bing should expand beyond the company's core search engine it should incorporate a chain of products, acquisitions, and partnerships. The company should offer online productivity software and social networking tools, products extend to the desktop as well to many featured items. Innovation: Offering new variety products, soft ware with creativity will help to compete with GOOGLE.
Conclusion
The Google was reputed and habituated Search engine for many net browsers got significant position, as Bing was a new entrant it is yet to gain identification. Bing should be very innovative and distinctive in providing features comparative to Google.
