RIOT DUTY CORRECTIONAL HELMET

SHELL
Full coverage, constructed of KEVLAR and FIBERGLASS, multiple layer impact absorbing materials. Integral molded visor with side detail for flush mount of faceshield. Three shell sizes, small/ medium, large & extra large. Dull matte finish. LINER: Semi-resilient energy absorbing material throughout inside of helmet.

INNER SHELL:
Full inner shell of ABS molded plastic to seal off the liner and to protect the liner from solvents, hair oils and body perspiration. The ABS inner shell shall be cleanable with mild soap solution. Additional sizing in the forehead area shall able provided to accommodate gas masks.

INNER SHELL:
Perforated replaceable Cushion Pad sizing system allows for size adjustment and maximum air flow ventilation. The Cushion Pads furnished with each helmet shall be in 3/8 & 1/2 thickness to allow for proper sizing.

FACESHIELD:
Molded high-impact .220 thick polycarbonate faceshield shall fit flush with the sides of the outer shell and allow full 90 rotation. The faceshield must be capable of locking in the down position automatically when completely lowered with a hold-down mechanism. Single push button release of the hold-down mechanism allows the faceshield to be raised. Neoprene liquid seal completely seals the faceshield to the outer shell protecting the face from fluids. Faceshield is held in place and replaceable by means of thumb screws. The edges of the faceshield shall be a smooth rounded edge.

RETENTION:
Dual vector perspiration resistant naugahyde harness with nape strap effectively stabilizes helmet on the head. Black tubular 3/4 nylon webbing shall be riveted to the outer shell. A quick release buckle or snap fastening system allows for rapid deployment and removal of the helmet.

CERVICAL NECK PROTECTOR:

Constructed from durable Cordura and energy absorbing materials. Covers the top portion of the neck and have flexible panels to allow complete movement of the head, side to side and up and down. The cervical neck protector shall be removable and replaceable.

The P 100 F Police Operational Helmet conforms (with exception of the special size) to the requirements of the Technical Guidelines for modular systems - protective helmet, communication system, respirator mask - from the Technical Commission at the Police Management Academy, Research and Development Office for Police Engineering in Mnster, dated August 1992. Additionally, the P 100 F conforms for the most part to the draft of the Technical Guidelines for modular systems - protective helmet, communication system, respirator mask - drawn up by the Mnster Technical Institute (PTI) of the Police Management Academy (PFA), dated July 2004, especially with respect to the new requirements for fire resistance.
