Trip To Scotland
1.2. Hotel
Considering that Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the place where were going to stay, we need an hotel. Heres one of the most apropiated ones for the trip, which is called Edinburgh City Hotel.
Its 154 for two people and 147 per day. We will stay the night of the 12th (1 day) and between the 17th and the 22th (5 days). That means it will be a total of 924 per couple and 882 per person. In this trip, there are 4 couples and 1 person who will sleep alone, so it will be 4578 in total.
Were going to spend in Scotland 10 days, but only 2 will be spent in Edinburgh. We will buy the 1 week ticket (its available online), because we will use the bus a lot those days and buying single tickets are pretty expensive.
1.4. 5 day tour The Lowlands, Northern Highlands, the West Coast and Skye.
This tour is a really good choice if you want to get to see most Scotland in a few days. You will visit the most important places, like the Loch Ness, Inverness, Glen Coe and many more. It may seem a bit expensive but it includes transport, guide, food, hotel
Aberdeen is a really nice place and its not really far away from Edinburgh, so its important to take a moment and go and visit this fantastic city. The best choice is to go by bus, and its not really expensive (about 5 each time).
Glasgow is probably one of the most important and representative cities in Scotland (together with Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen). This modern city deserves a visit, and its 24.70 per person, and it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there.
We will go later to the Royal Mile (walking or by bus, its not far away from the park) to one of the best pubs in Edinburgh, the Royal McGregor (http://www.royalmcgregor.co.uk/) and we will have for dinner haggis (the typical Scottish food) with the typical Scottish whisky. Then we will go back to the hotel.
Day 7: 18th
Journey to Glasgow. Its the biggest city in Scotland, and its one of the most modern ones. Its known by its vitality.
Here are some of the places we will visit: Pollok House and Country Park
We will have lunch in the Red Onion (http://www.red-onion.co.uk/), a modern Scottish restaurant, probably one of the best ones in this city. We will spend about 30. After this long day, we will go back to Edinburgh.
In the afternoon and evening, we could take time for shopping in Princess Street, the most important street for shopping in this city.
We would go later to La Favorita (http://www.vittoriagroup.co.uk/#fav) which is considered the best pizza restaurant in Edinburgh. Its not expensive, we would spend between 15 and 20 (drink included).
The Edinburgh Festival takes place this month here, and its probably the best event that takes place in this Scottish city, so we will spend the rest of the day seeing little shows and performances that take place in the streets and are free.
In total, counting food (of everyday), transport tickets, hotels, etc. we will spend a total of 1101.1 per person. This means that the group of 9 people will spend together a total of 9909.9.
