NSAA Strategic Plan (draft) 2012

Section I. Info Path: Rebuilding of Identity 1. Motto

The motto of the association is the Latin Dedicatio in Fide, Servire et Excellentia or tanslated as Dedication in Faith, Service and Excellence, which pertains to the worth of learning and path of endeavors intended for the association and its members. As it is translated, it obviously emphasizes the incessant call of dedication in the core values of the association: FAITH, SERVICE and EXCELLENCE.

2. Seal
AM Monogram
The monogram AM, which is a very common symbol in almost all RVM Institutions, stands for Ave Maria. Ave Maria goes in praise of the Blessed Mother Mary, under whose patronage our Alma Mater was entrusted. Because it is under the depiction of RVM seal, the monogram also pertains to Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo, our Mother Foundress. The monogram finally symbolizes the FAITH and LOYALTY that the association toils in its members.

Light Rays
The rays signify the associations growth, light and wisdom from God through Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.

Mt. Apo
Hailed as Philippines highest peak, Mt. Apo symbolizes the high aspirations and endeavors of the association. It also symbolizes the oath of the association to defend and to be proud of our country, The Philippines. The image finally symbolizes EXCELLENCE, as seen on its colossal reputation.

Kiram Mansion
As a symbol of colorful culture and encompassing history, the Kiram Mansion symbolizes the associations land of growth, Kidapawan City. The deteriorated Roman- Torogan Mansion houses the Manobo upbringing of the province, through the carvings in its walls and the architectural designs it possesses. It also symbolizes SERVICE, for it served as the center of the activities in Cotabato during the

early times. The Mansion finally represents the universal hands of the association for whether Muslim (Kiram), Catholic (early mentioned symbolisms) or the like, we are all housed by one Heavenly Being.

3. Colors
The colors of the association will be Blue and Gold. Depicted from the Notre Dame Hymn and St. Marys Hymn, gold and blue not just physically work in harmony but also parallelizes to the historical background of the association, both a Notre Dame and St. Mary.

4. Song/Hymn 5. Historiography (Partial History of NSAA)

The history of Notre Dame of Kidapawan for Girls- St. Marys Academy of Kidapawan Alumni Association (NSAA) dates back to the year of the first graduates of the educational institution, 1948. The legitimization of the Alumni Association, though, was made possible 61 years later by the year 2009. Under the Presidency of Juanito Malto, Jr., Former AFP Brigadier General of the Philippines and NSAA President, the recognition of the association is finally made into paper. By the year 2011, changes had been made to accommodate the changes that happened to the educational roots of the association. By December 22, 2011, Vincent Carlo Cuzon was elected president of NSAA. The seal, motto, and identity-related aspects of the association were created and added by the coming year, 2012. Through the boost of social media, NSAA found its way to strengthen the connection to other RVM Alumni Associations, by adhering NSAAs online page to the Federation of Alumni Associations of RVM Schools, Inc. (FAARSI)s online page.

The Alumni ID Project aims to inculcate and to remind a member of the importance of being a true NSAA member, which is to remain Dedicated in Faith, Service and Excellence.
