    Mary Liske
    Mary Liske has been with the YMCA for over 5 years working with children ages 0-15. Teaching is her passion. Mary recently moved from Charlotte where she taught Preschool for 3 years. She is currently an Education Major with hopes of pursuing her Masters Degree, where she can continue working to help others learn and find their calling in life. She has a deep desire to instill the love of art in children, where they can use their creative and imaginative skills while exploring the exciting world of Art. Mary is currently teaching Art Starters along with Make and Take. Apart from studio hours you can stop by and see Mary at the Reuter Youth Development Center.

    EARTHVENTURE
    Do you love living in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina? Our little EarthVenture kids will enjoy exploring the magnificent world around us while making masterpieces of their own. We will create art from recycled and found objects in nature. The explorers will grab their art supplies, get creative outside and let nature inspire them. We will learn the importance of conserving our environment while creating art with our active imaginations. Each session we will explore in great detail topics from the bugs in the trees, to animals on land and in the deep ocean blue.

    ART BLAST
    Get ready for a blast of colors! The Art Blast kids will love hands on art at its messiest stages! We will create a variety of crafts from vibrant paper mache piatas to messy splatter paint projects. We will be using a range of materials such as acrylic and watercolor paint, crayons, decoupage and much more. A few outside art games will include paint filled water balloons, a color run and a game of twister with paint. We will be inspired by how fun and silly art can be while making new friends along the way.
