Before we start, a quick Scoggins & Kaplan update: Were pleased to report that we have a new home at FilmFunds.com. Jason is the companys new CEO, Cindy is its new lm and TV writer, and were thrilled to be working alongside our former colleague Joshua Weinstein, who joined FilmFunds a couple of weeks ahead of us as the sites Head of Content. FilmFunds launched in beta last summer as a platform for lmmakers to promote their projects to lm lovers and connect with nanciers. In the coming weeks well be expanding the sites coverage to include info and data about Hollywood and mainstream indie lm and TV projects, targeting entertainment pros and enthusiasts like yourself. Ultimately, we plan to make FilmFunds the go-to site for people like us: Everyone whos big into movies and TV, from the latest development and casting news to whats worth watching this weekend. Well keep you posted on our progress. For now, lets focus on Aprils Pitch Sales. It seems each month we write some version of This month started out slow but ended strong, and April is no exception, as you can see from the below grid. Last month was up nearly 50% over 2011s numbers, which is basically the reverse of Marchs results. This years total pitch sales are now up 12.5% over last year. There were lots of big winners last month, especially UTA, which had 6 pitch sales in April. Were looking forward to compiling the Scorecard in a couple of weeks.
