Duration: From Feb 2008 to till date Client Name: DishNetworkCorporation. The Dish Network Corporation is one of the biggest satellite cable operators in United States having more than 15 Million subscribers. We are managing their IT Infrastructure operations remotely from our Noida based Management Center. Their Datacenter is located in Denver United States and it is having a huge no. of UNIX servers including HP and Sun servers. We provide 24x7 supports to the client for Production, Development and Testing environments. The Data center is hosting the Enterprise range of servers and storage including HP Superdomes, HP 9000 8420, EMC Clarion, and EMC DMX 3. Role: I am working here as a Team Lead managing Unix/Backup team providing 24x7 infrastructure Support. Procedural Responsibilities: Managing Team (Unix/Backup/Storage) and responsible for handling escalations and customer issues Developing new solutions and procedures to be followed from offshore support. Providing technical support to onshore team in new deployments, activities. Maintaining and managing SLA requirements of clients. Monitoring team performance on meeting client expectations. Maintaining communication link between client and team on regular basis. Technical Responsibilities: Handling technical escalation from client regarding any hardware/software issue on HP 11i v1, v2,v3 and Solaris 9, 10 servers. Troubleshooting and managing NPARs and VPars on HP Superdome servers. Monitoring and troubleshooting cluster activities through VERITAS Cluster monitor and HP Service Guard. Managing the EMC Clariion storage boxes operations through Navisphere and command line. Managing Symmetric DMX boxes through Solution enabler API. ProjectWorked: ALCOAOPEXUnixSupport Alcoa is the worlds largest producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminium, and alumina and participates in all segments of the industry: mining, refining, smelting, fabricating and recycling. TCS provides Global Infrastructure support for ALCOA in an onsite-off shore model. The OPEX UNIX team administrates 85 HPUX servers and 35 Red Hat Servers. Vendor coordination, SLA based remedies to issues, performance monitoring, high availability monitoring, Periodical patching; planning and executing outages are also the responsibilities of the UNIX team. Role: I worked there as Assistant Systems Engineer managing Unix/Backup team providing 24x7 infrastructure Support.
