1-My parents had a very different upbringing to what

I have today. They were from Ireland and grew up in the
middle of the countryside . I live in Birmingham , with
peer pressure , school rules and lots of other things to
deal with . I think I have a much tougher life than they
had .

2- Times have changed and we have a lot of

responsibility as teenagers , and we have to act like adults .It depends on
where you have grown up and who you hang around with . There isn’t a
definite age when most people start drinking alcohol or try drugs . I am
nearly 16 years old and I have never tried any , but I know plenty of
people who have . This really depends on who you hang around with and
how much willpower you have to say no .

3- I think that a lot of teenagers are discriminated against wrongly by

adults . However most of them have part-time jobs which creates
responsibility and the need to behave in an adult way . I have been
working since I was about 13 , but most teens start at around 15 .

4-We need to have a level of trust put in us . We need to feel wanted

and important , and not constantly targeted and victimized by the media.
After all , if the media is constantly attacking teens and branding them as
thugs , then that’s the way we will act .

1- There was a girl driving along I-70 on the way

back to Colorado after visiting her relatives in
Illinois . It was about 1:00am and it started to rain
when she realized her car was almost out of petrol
. She saw a sign for a petrol station about 3 miles
ahead , so she breathed a sigh of relief . But when
she got there , she noticed that it was one of those old petrol
stations . She was scared to stop , but she really had no other
choice . As she pulled in , an old man with a disfigured face rushed
to her through the rain . He put the pump in the tank and asked for
her credit card . She handed it to him over the top of the window
and he ran back inside .

2- After a few seconds , he came back and

told the girl she had to come inside because
her credit card had been denied . Reluctantly
, she walked inside . The old man grabbed
her , but she hit him with a can of oil . Then ,
she ran back to her car and left the old
man screaming and waving his arms at
her . After driving for a few miles , she
turned on the radio and started to relax .
As she looked in the rear view mirror , she
saw someone popped up at the back seat
