Document Scope

1)The Scope of this LLD is including Ericsson RAN and Transmission Nodes
(BTS,NodeB,ENodeB,RNC,BSC,SPO,MLTN and TCU)
2) Non-Ericsson Nodes should follow the same structure to have a consistent E2E
Qos
Note:
1) the below figures are potential to change in the traffic monitoring phase (if needed)
2) MCI Should share a traffic profile per queue to accurately address the suitable figures for MCI Network
3) MCI Network Should be closely monitored after applying any QoS changes to address the Network Per

Examples

Network frequency or phase synch (GSM, WCDMA, LTE, CES termination devices, etc.)

WCDMA (FACH1,2, RACH, PCH, MBMS, FACH), GSM (OML, RSL, STN_L2TP_CP), etc.

IP Routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), NTP ToD, L2 resilience, ICMP, etc.

CDMA/EVDO Network Control: ICMP incl. pings and ICMP traceroute, RIP and SNTP, Topology manager, Secure HTTP, SNMP and Reliable
Notification Channel

Radio network control (SRB/RRC, NBAP, RNSAP, RANAP, S1AP/X2AP, CDMA Abis signaling & RAN Datagram, A11, A12, A13, HRPD Signaling,
DOS Messaging, etc
Core network control (MAP, SIP-I, GTP-C, GTP', DIAMETER, RADIUS, DNS for APN resolution and MSS, LDAP, etc.)
UE application signaling (QCI5 = Interactive/THP1+signaling ind, CDMA User Delay sensitive application signaling over forward link traffic
channels).

O&M configuration management

SNMP traps (alarms)

Voice (QCI1 = PS conversational/speech,

CS conversational/speech on A, Abis, Iu, Iub, Iur, CDMA/1xRTT Voice + Data, Voice and Data Signaling, CDMA/EVDO Delay Sensitive-1)
Voice and Signaling (CDMA/EVDO RTC Low Latency: Delay sensitive user traffic and application signaling over reverse link traffic channels.)
Mission Critical delay sensitive signalling

Real Time Gaming (QCI3 = PS streaming/speech, CDMA/EVDO Delay Sensitive-2: Second priority delay sensitive user traffic over forward traffic
channels)
Live Streaming (QCI2 = PS conversational/unknown)
GBR Traffic (CDMA/EVDO Delay Sensitive-3: Third priority delay sensitive user traffic over forward traffic channels, CDMA/EVDO User Rate
Sensitive-1: Rate sensitive user traffic over forward traffic channels)
Mission Critical user plane Push To Talk voice

Video streaming (QCI4 = PS Streaming/unknown)

GBR Traffic (CDMA/EVDO Delay Sensitive-4: Low priority delay sensitive user traffic over forward traffic channels, CDMA/EVDO User Rate
Sensitive-2: Low priority rate sensitive user traffic over forward traffic channels)
CDMA/EVDO RTC High Capacity: Rate sensitive and best effort user traffic over reverse link traffic channels. (Separation of best effort and GBR
uplink traffic is not possible)

PS traffic for priority users only (QCI6 = Interactive/THP1)

Undifferentiated PS traffic (Interactive/THP2+THP3 and Background ("THP4") in WCDMA/DCH on Iub/Iur, all PS traffic in GSM on Abis and Gb)

O&M high and low priority if separation is not possible (includes all WCDMA O&M traffic)

(SIU) O&M Bulk, CUDB replication, charging low priority (FTP),

CDMA/EVDO Low Priority OAM: Secure remote login (SSH), secure software download and logs upload (SFTP), and data collection upload

PS traffic (Interactive/THP2 in WCDMA/HSPA on Iub/Iur) or

CDMA/EVDO User Best Effort-1: Inter-User Best effort 1 user traffic over forward traffic channels.
PS traffic (Interactive/THP3 in WCDMA/HSPA on Iub/Iur) or
CDMA/EVDO User Best Effort-6: Inter-User Best Effort 6 user traffic over forward traffic channels.
PS traffic (Background ("THP4") in WCDMA/HSPA on Iub/Iur) or
CDMA/EVDO User Best Effort-5: Inter-User Best Effort 5 user traffic over forward traffic channels.
