wanted to have a bank account. He needed to have an account in order
to safeguard his money.

Before visiting CentenaryBank, Vicent consulted his friend, Wandawa

about the procedure of opening a bank account. Wandawa guided him
to obtain an LCI confirmation letter, a photocopy of his national ID and
at least one guarantor’s account number.

Having got the required items, he moved to the bank on Thursday.
Magosha was welcomed by the bank receptionist and then directed to
the account opening section.
There was a queue of about twelve more clients. Vincent joined the
queue that was somewhat slow, though inevitable to follow. After
about thirty minutes, he reached the service table. The personnel in
charge asked for the particulars, that he instantly presented. Magosha
was given a form to fill in his personal details. He did so for about ten
minutes. The information he filled in the form was entered into the
computer system.

The personnel asked him to sign the form and sign in the computer
using the finger print scanner. Within a few minutes he was done. The
personnel told him to return after a week’s time to pick his ATM visa
card. Meanwhile, he could make transactions using his account just
