 Design, conduct, analyze, and interpret scientific experiments. Formulating work plans, collaborating with

 Conduct investigative studies involving contagious viral pathogens and handling of BSL-2 or BSL-3
 DNA and RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, primers design, order, PCR optimization, and amplification,
NGS libraries preparation, barcoding, and vigilant monitoring for potential cross-contamination
occurrences.
 Oxford Nanopore Technology MK1C and Illumina Mi-seq Next Generation Technologies are currently
employed for comprehensive COVID-19 genome sequencing, analysis, data acquisition, and

Responsibilities:

 Collaborate with patient cohorts and pertinent models, encompassing both in vitro and in vivo, to study
infectious diseases.
 Plan, schedule, coordinated, and lead multiple MD Microbiology academic and ICMR research projects.
 Regular communication with principal investigators, collaborating with colleagues, and lab members for
the projects plan, implementation, evaluation, and progress reports.
 Perform MD Microbiology projects, technical evaluation, and progress hold division meetings, and be
involved in operations management meetings with ICMR and DHR.

Project Name: Dietary Phytate-Mineral Interaction Role on SuppressingColon Cancer”. (DBT).

Responsibilities:

 Proficient handling skills with laboratory animals such as rats and mice, including climate control, bedding,
cleaning, sterilization, and waste disposal.
 The Fisher 344 rats were administered azoxymethane dosage to induce tumor development.
 Preparation of AIN-93 phytate-supplemented powdered diet, along with monitoring weight and food intake.
 Blood samples are collected using orbital sinus and tail snip techniques.
 Animals are euthanized through CO2 asphyxiation, and various organs such as the colon, ileum, jejunum,
duodenum, liver, spleen, bone, brain, and eyeballs are collected.
 Expertise in histopathology tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and H&E staining is utilized to
differentiate basic tissues.
 Methylene blue whole mount staining is employed to identify abnormal crypt foci in tissues.
 The stain Alcian Blue is used to visualize mucins in tissues.
 Perls' Prussian blue (PPB) staining is utilized to identify iron in tissues.
 Dithizone (DTZ) staining is employed for detecting zinc in tissues.
 Experience in immunohistochemical staining processes and interpretation of staining.
 TUNEL kit assay is used for detecting cell death in paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
 Levels of cell proliferation markers β-Catenin and PCNA are monitored in colonic tissue sections and
western blots.
 Levels of cell differentiation markers Lectin, sulpho, and sialo mucins are also monitored in colonic tissues
using Immunohistochemistry, western blots, and flow cytometry.
 Cell cycle dynamics during tumor induction are studied.
 Cell death detection (TUNEL assay, DNA fragmentation pattern), cell proliferation markers (PCNA, beta-
catenin), and cell differentiation markers (Lectin, sulpho, and sialo mucins) are analyzed.
 Iron and zinc levels were examined in tumor-induced rats, specifically in the tumor and normal colon tissue,
as well as in the liver and plasma.
 The study aimed to understand the underlying biochemical and molecular mechanisms that contribute to
the altered nutritional status of these trace elements.
 Various techniques were employed, including immunohistochemical and immunoblots analysis, RAS-
Mutations, and Reverse Transcription–Polymerase Chain Reaction to determine the expression pattern of
mineral transporters such as DMT1, Dcytb, IREG1, ferritin, transferrin receptor, ZnT1, ZnT4, and
metallothionein.
 Furthermore, the redox status of the colonic epithelial tissue was evaluated by measuring lipid and protein
oxidation.

Project Name: High through Put Allele Determination in Pigeon Pea Plant(DBT).
Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University, Hyderabad, India.

Responsibilities:

 The process of molecular breeding for the pigeon pea plant involves the development of varieties that
possess both disease resistance and high yield potential. This is accomplished through the implementation
of various techniques, including effective greenhouse management, precise pollination methods, and the
identification of polymorphic parents.
 To extract DNA, the c-tab method is utilized, followed by DNA quantification using the Nano-drop
technique. PCR (RFLP) is then conducted using SSRs (simple sequence repeat) primers and ILP (Intron
Linked Polymorphic) primers. A total of 600 primers have been standardized for this specific purpose.
 Agarose and Metaphor Agarose gel electrophoresis are employed to separate DNA fragments, while gel
documentation is used to visualize and analyze the obtained results.
 To identify polymorphic primers, Sanger's sequencing is performed using the ABI 3130xl instrument
equipped with 16 capillaries. This sequencing method plays a crucial role in determining the genetic
variations present within the pigeon pea plant.

LEADERSHIP POSITIONS:

 As a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Satellite Centre of Andhra
Pradesh State in Vijayawada, my responsibilities include collaborating with team members, managing
procurements of kits and consumables, conducting financial audits, developing new research techniques,
providing training on NGS and Data analysis, and attending meetings.
 During my tenure as a scientist in the VRDL lab at Osmania Medical College, I conducted academic
projects for postgraduate medical students and worked closely with my team members to achieve our
research goals.
 As the Chief Scientist/Lab in charge at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, I supervised a team of 40
members and played a crucial role in conducting COVID-19 testing. I also developed proper guidelines for
COVID-19 testing to ensure accurate and efficient results.
 In my role as a supervisor, I led a team in conducting viral tests and provided training to lab technologists
on pre-analytical and post-analytical processes.
 I recently completed an online training program called "Discover Your Leadership Movement" offered by
the World Health Organization (WHO). I successfully completed the course and received a certificate of
completion, enhancing my leadership skills.
AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS

 The state medical team acknowledged and their appreciation for the skillful handling of the in-house
production of viral transport medium (VTM) to overcome the scarcity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 Our outstanding achievement in the field of COVID-19 whole genome sequencing has been recognized by
CCMB HUB lab Hyderabad, with a remarkable 98% success rate.
 Submitted more than 2000 sequences to GISAID, IBDC, and IHIP portals.
