Supervisor: You must have three reflection sessions with each candidate, one early on in the process, an interim meeting
and then the final viva voce. Other check-in sessions are permitted but do not need to be recorded on this sheet. After each
reflection session candidates must record their reflections and as the supervisor you must indicate the month that the
reflection session took place, the candidate’s year of DP study at that time and initial this form.
• What to write:
◦ The specific topic or subject area you're considering for your EE.
◦ Why you are interested in this topic and its relevance to your subject.
◦ Preliminary research question(s) or hypotheses.
◦ Challenges or questions you might have about the research process.
◦ Feedback or guidance you received from your supervisor and how you plan to act on it.
◦ Your next steps (e.g., narrowing your question, starting initial research).
• Tips:
◦ Be specific about your ideas and concerns.
◦ Write 100–150 words.

◦ Specific feedback or strategies discussed with your supervisor.
◦ Your plan for completing the next phase of your work.

◦ Reflect on how your thinking has evolved since the first meeting.
◦ Stay focused on your progress and problem-solving strategies.
◦ Write 100–150 words.
